The
Louisiana USSSA Baseball State Championship will
have a three (3) game schedule guarantee. Number
of entries will dictate the exact format. The Tournament Director in conjunction
with the State Director will determine the format. Tournament
format may be amended after the event begins due to weather or other
acts of God. Game guarantee
is if weather permits or if other acts of
God do not allow this to happen in the time frame given for the State
Championship

THE
STATE HEADQUARTERS 10 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT. ALL ROSTERS MUST BE ENTERED
ON-LINE FOR A TEAM TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. All deadlines for the State
Championship are 10 DAYS BEFORE THE START OF THE EVENT.

ON-LINE AND THEN APPROVED BY THE STATE HEADQUARTERS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN YOUR
TEAM'S SUSPENSION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THIS TOURNAMENT! PLAYERS MAY BE
INDIVIDUALLY CHECKED IN AT EACH TOURNAMENT WITH PROPER USSSA
APPROVED ID OR BIRTH CERTIFICATES IN HAND.
Louisiana
USSSA Baseball offers two(2) weekends for the "AAA" and "AA" State
Championship Teams. One in the South part of the State and the other in
the North part of the State. TEAMS MAY PLAY IN EITHER EVENT BUT NOT
BOTH.

Please

RULES OF CONDUCT.
All
players participating in USSSA Baseball tournament play shall have
photocopies of
their original birth
certificates or
USSSA approved ID in
the possession of their team manager.
Failure to have a
copy of the birth certificate or
USSSA
approved ID
available
upon demand will result in the offending team
losing the game, being ejected from the tournament, being placed last in
the standings and forfeiting
all awards
and tournament berths they would
have been awarded at the tournament.
Rainout
/ Refund Policy: If for some reason the event is cancelled
completely an not able to be rescheduled due to rain/other, the
following will apply. If no games are played, then there is a 25%
refund. If the team has started their first game then there is no refund.
If a team drops out after entering there is NO REFUND. If a
team drops out after the schedules have been complete, there is no
refund. No refunds are given unless the event is completely cancelled.
Rain
Delay Policy: If the event receives rain and causes delays and/or
suspended games, the following may happen but not limited to the
following: Game Times/Innings Amended, Games Not Played, Days added to
the Event, It may be moved to another weekend and location. Others depending on the circumstances. We will continue to
schedule the event until it is played.
NOTE:
1.
The Cut-off Date for all ages is May 1 of the current season. Whatever age a
player is on April 30 of the current season is the age the child must play.
2.
Any player can play in a higher age classification but cannot
play in a lower age group.
3.
All players must be similarly dressed.
5.
Managers and coaches must wear a baseball cap with team insignia
and will be properly dressed. (Coaches may wear coaches' shorts).
6.
While in the field, as a defensive player, team caps must be
worn.
7.
Protest on uniforms will not be allowed.
It shall be the Tournament Directors responsibility regarding
uniform legality. Violation
of the uniform rule will result in the violator being allowed to conform
or be removed from the game.
8.
Metal spikes are prohibited in age groups 5-12.
9.
A full-use batting helmet which covers the top and back of the
head and the side of the face must be worn by every player while in the
on deck circle, when at bat and while on the bases.
10.
All bat boys/girls will wear full-use batting helmets when their
team is at bat.
11.
Suspended games will be resumed from the exact point of suspension.
12.
Ages 7-18 - The catcher must wear protective gear: Mask, chest
protector, shin guards, protective cup, catchers helmet and throat
guard. Ages 5-12 - Catchers
must wear helmet that fully covers their ears. (Except T-Ball)
13.
All playing rules not specifically covered above shall be
governed by the USSSA
Baseball Handbook and the National League rules for Major League
Baseball.
Game
Schedules WILL NOT be
mailed out in advance.
Game times will be distributed to the Managers.
Awards
to be Presented:
A.
Team Trophies to 1st - 3rd Place Teams
(If more than 12 teams in the event then 4th Place will be Given)
B.
Individual Awards to 1st - 3rd Place Teams
(If more than 12 teams in the event then 4th Place will be Given)
Admission during the
tournament will be $5.00 per person per day.
For students the charge will be $2.00 per day.
This charge includes everyone except players and team coaches.
A maximum of 3 coaches passes will be issued.
